A number of Labour MPs have this week joined colleagues from across Parliament to welcome Knesset speaker Michael Levy to London.
On Wednesday, Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle hosted a reception for the his Israeli counterpart, which saw the two Speakers speak about the UK and Israel’s proud democratic traditions and the continued challenges posed by antisemitism.
On Thursday, Labour MPs attended a briefing from Levy hosted by the Britain-Israel All-Party Parliamentary Group, where they had an opportunity to hear from him about his support for a two-state solution, Iran’s threatening activities in the Middle East, and his work to make the Knesset more inclusive.
