UK Parliamentarians have today taken part in a memorial service to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1972 Munich Massacre, when eight Palestinian terrorists murdered 11 Israelis and one West German police officer at the Olympics.
An outdoor service took place at the Palace of Westminster, led by Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle. Also in attendance were Israeli Ambassador H.E Tzipi Hotovely, Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis and LFI chair Steve McCabe MP.
Labour leader Keir Starmer and Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper also attended the event and laid a wreath on behalf of the Labour Party as part of the ceremony.
