This week, an LFI delegation of MPs and prospective parliamentary candidates visited Israel and the Palestinian territories. Led by LFI chair Steve McCabe MP, this is the second such trip undertaken since October 7.
The group met with Israeli and Palestinian politicians, officials and NGOs in Jerusalem and Ramallah, including Labour’s sister parties Israeli Labor and Fatah, visited the sites of the Be’eri and Nova 7 October massacres, and met with family of British hostages being held in Gaza.
The trip was vital in understanding the attitudes towards the current conflict, how to bring about an end to the fighting, the return of hostages and aid delivered quickly to those in need, and how we can work towards a two-state solution.
